PATTY is hitting the road again, this time, hot-footing it to the SUNFLOWER RIVER BLUES & GOSPEL FESTIVAL in Clarksdale, Mississippi. In its 19th year, this legendary festival has featured the likes of James "Son" Thomas, Otis Rush, Mose Allison, Snooky Pryor, and Katie Webster.

Among the featured performers this year are Sam Carr, Lattimore, and the RISING STAR FIFE & DRUM BAND, currently led by Othar Turner's granddaughter Shardee. Patty first met Othar and the Rising Star Band in 1979, when she introduced them at the Tennessee Grassroots Days Festival in Nashville (see photo).
