PATTY AT THE ROOTS FEST...PATTY has been invited back for her third appearance at the 33rd ANNUAL ADAMS AVENUE ROOTS FESTIVAL, San Diego's annual celebration of blues, vintage swing, Appalachian, Norteño, country boogie, old-time string music, cowboy yodeling, Western, Cajun, and Celtic music. …FOLK HERITAGE CONCERT… On SATURDAY, JULY 22, I’ll be presenting my NATIVE DAUGHTER™ and JUMPIN’ UP!™ SONGS in a concert sponsored by SAN DIEGO FOLK HERITAGE, the organization dedicated to preserving and promoting the folk arts in Southern California. It’s an honor for me to be appearing under the auspices of such a fine organization. And, I’m delighted that my good friend, guitarist and song-stylist GREG CAMPBELL will open for me and also join me for some of my music. Greg is an awesome picker and singer, playing a unique mix of music from the ‘40s to the ‘80s, styled with a fresh take. …THE SINGERS WORKSHOP – A SALÓN EXTRORDINAIRE…For the past 18 months I’ve spent my Wednesday evenings, gathering with other singers to master the finer points of advanced vocal technique as taught by voice instructor, JANET RUSSELL. The challenging learning environment, constructive critiques, and opportunity to perform in front of one’s peers have resulted in real growth and close friendships and make Janet’s classes a “can’t miss” for all of us.
